One payment, not a subscription. Paid plans are a single charge for 12 months. Nothing auto-renews, no mandate is taken on your card or UPI, and there is no date on which money leaves your account by surprise. When the year is up you decide.
Nothing free today moves behind a paid plan. The document types, the PDFs, the customer book, the price list and the GSTR-1 export stay in the free plan. Paying lifts the ceiling and adds businesses and staff.
Why it costs less
Phone and computer, without the accounting suite.
The usual reason an Indian small business pays for billing software is to have the same books on the phone in their pocket and the computer on the counter. The established apps charge somewhere around ₹4,000 a year for phone and computer together. BahiSathi does that part for ₹1,499, or ₹999 once if you are early.
The honest reason for the gap: BahiSathi does less. It makes GST documents, and does that properly. It is not accounting software — no ledgers, no inventory, no payroll, no balance sheet. If you need those, buy the thing that has them. If what you actually do all day is send invoices and quotations, you are paying for a suite to use one drawer of it.

Is the free plan a trial?
No. It is free for as long as you want it, with no card and no expiry date. The only ceiling is 20 issued documents in a calendar month, and it refills on the 1st. Plenty of people will never need more than that, and that is fine by us.
What do the paid plans cost?
Pro is ₹1,499 a year for unlimited documents, up to 3 businesses and staff logins. Practice is ₹4,999 a year for CAs and consultants, covering up to 25 client businesses with one combined GSTR-1 export. Both are inclusive of all taxes and are a single payment for 12 months — no autopay, no mandate on your card, nothing that renews itself. When the year is up you decide whether to pay again.
What is the ₹999 founding offer?
The first 100 customers can pay ₹999 once and keep Pro for good — no annual renewal, ever, including the features we add later. It is capped at 100 and will not reopen once those are taken. It exists to fund the next six months of work and to find the early customers who will tell us honestly what to build.
Why is it cheaper than the alternatives?
Because it does less, on purpose. BahiSathi makes GST documents and does that part properly; it is not accounting software with ledgers, inventory and payroll. Comparable mobile-plus-desktop billing software in India runs around ₹4,000 a year. If you need full accounting, buy that instead — we will not pretend to replace it.
