The short version
The free plan has nothing to cancel and nothing to refund — no card is ever taken. The paid plans are a single payment that never repeats: no mandate, no autopay, nothing to cancel because nothing is scheduled. Within seven days of any payment, ask and we refund it in full.
The free plan
BahiSathi is free for 20 issued documents a calendar month, refilling on the 1st. We do not ask for a card, we store no payment method, and nothing converts to a paid plan on its own. There is nothing to cancel. If you want to leave altogether, you can delete your account yourself at any time.
There is nothing to cancel
This is worth stating plainly, because most software works the other way. Pro and Practice are a single charge for 12 months. Founding is a single charge, once. In none of these cases is a standing instruction, mandate or autopay set up on your card, UPI or bank account.
- No money can leave your account again unless you deliberately make another payment. There is no renewal date to diarise and no mandate to revoke.
- An annual plan simply ends. Twelve months after you pay, the account returns to the free plan. We email you before that happens, so it is not a surprise, and you decide then whether to pay for another year.
- Nothing of yours is deleted. Dropping back to free never removes, hides or locks anything you have created. You keep every invoice, quotation and note, and can still open, share and export them. Only the paid capabilities stop, and the monthly ceiling applies again.
Wanting your money back for a term you have already paid for is a different thing — that is a refund request, and the table below is how those are handled.
When we refund
| When | What you get | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Within 7 days of any payment | Full refund, no reason needed | Applies to every plan, the founding one included. Ask, and you get the whole amount back. You do not have to explain, and we will not try to talk you out of it. |
| After 7 days — annual plans | No refund for the remaining term | Past the first week we do not refund the unused part of a year. Nothing renews, so the most that is ever at stake is the term you deliberately bought, and it ends by itself. |
| After 7 days — the founding plan | No refund | A lifetime plan cannot be unwound later: there is no unused portion to calculate, because the term does not end. Seven days is the window, and it is the same seven days everyone else gets. |
| Any time — duplicate or failed payment | Full refund | Charged twice for the same plan, or charged while the upgrade did not actually apply to your account. Tell us, or we will spot it ourselves; either way the whole of the wrong charge comes back. |
| Any time — we broke it | Full or pro-rata refund | If a fault on our side makes a paid plan unusable for a sustained period and we cannot fix it, we refund the term, or the unused part of it, whichever fits what happened. |
What we do not refund
A term that is more than seven days old, where the service has worked as described and you simply used it less than you expected to. We also cannot refund an account closed for a breach of the terms — fake documents, someone else's GSTIN, or an attempt to reach another customer's data.
One case we are asked about: you paid, then life happened and you never really used it. Strictly, past seven days that is outside the window. Write to us anyway and say so — where it is clear the account went unused, we would rather sort something out than argue about a week.
How to ask for a refund
Email appsyoda@gmail.com from the address your account is registered under. That is how we confirm the request is yours. Include:
- the email address on the account;
- the date of payment and the payment reference, if you have it;
- one line on what happened — useful to us, but never a condition.
You can also message us on WhatsApp at +91 79735 81745 to get a faster human answer, but the request itself has to arrive by email from the registered address.
How long it takes
- We reply within 1 working day on a working day, and decide within 3 working days of your request.
- Approved refunds are issued within 5–7 working days of the decision, to the original payment method — the same card, UPI ID or bank account the money came from. We cannot send it anywhere else; the payment gateway will not allow it.
- Your bank then takes its own time, usually a further 3–5 working days for a card, and faster for UPI, before it shows on your statement. That part is out of our hands.
Refunds are made in Indian rupees for the amount charged. We do not deduct a processing fee — you get back what you paid.
Before you raise a chargeback
Please write to us first. A chargeback takes weeks, freezes the amount at both ends, and a bank can only tell us that one was raised — not what went wrong. An email gets an answer in a day and, if you are within the window, your money back the same week.
